Konstantin Kachev, born in the former Soviet Union, is a painter who currently lives and works in Skopje, Macedonia. He described the realistic concrete scenes of modern life with surrealism.
He graduated of the Faculty of Fine Art – Skopje Macedonia, majoring -painting, conservation, restoration
Kachev is inspired by the beauty and harmony found in nature and the relationships between people. He explores the human condition, questions of existence and the cyclical nature of life. Kachev wants to highlight the importance and enduring power of real, spiritual connections in a society that is so focused on immediate and fleeting virtual interactions.
In terms of style, Kachev adopts a formal, classical painterly approach that is inspired by the paintings of the Old Masters, yet his subject matter explores contemporary preoccupations and imagery. His canvases combine depictions of the human form painted in a hyper realistic style with backgrounds that are left deliberately unfinished so as to highlight the physicality of the painting process.
Kachev has taken part in numerous group exhibitions across Europe and has presented his work in solo shows in both Paris and New York. He has exhibited at the prestigious Grand Palais in Paris at the ‘Art En Capital.
Art is where work meets love
