Dejan B. Kocka was born in 1984 in Kumanovo , North Macedonia. His work is held in private and public collections in the Balkan countries, including museums, galleries, and libraries. Also, he has donated art to charities.
His artistic journey started at an early age. He was noticed as one of Europe’s promising young talents while participating in the “Small Montmartre of Bitola” – Colony of Fine Arts. Afterward, his achievements in the Faculty of Fine Arts were extremely high, about which he got significant recognition from his professor and supervisor – Jovan Sumkosky.
Critics have described his work as having “a strong personality” that “translates his motif of choice into pictorial language that demonstrates a quietly modern eloquence”. He is perhaps more generally committed to the motif and the kind of form which develops the motif into a painting full of all the joys of abstraction but in place in a figure.
Art is where work meets love
